Licosto/Benetton Dream/De Niro

Due the first of June, 2023!

This is our second foal due this breeding season. Bizette is the first of our homebred fillies that is carrying a foal this year. She is a lovely mare with an outstanding temperament, good conformation, great looks and three good quality gaits. In 2019, we bred Bizette’s dam to Licosto and she produced an incredible filly for us, Lenah. We have no doubt that Bizette crossed with Licosto is going to produce a remarkable foal!

Bizette’s sire, Benetton Dream was the Hanoverian Champion in 2007. The three year old stallion had the highest mark in all four young horse classes in Warendorf. The judges were very impressed by his type, quality and three expressive gaits. His scores were: Walk 10.0, Trot 9.5, Canter 9.5, Complete impression 9.5 and Final score 9.5. He has shown to the Gand Prix level. His offspring have been quite successful with several of his foals earning champion and reserve champion status. His sire Bretano II, passes both rideability and movement on to his descendants.

Bizette’s dam EM Donatasha was a 2001 imported Hanoverian mare with strong pedigree of States Premium mares in her background. She placed first out of twenty + fillies at a foal show in Germany. A super sweet mare, she has had several nice offspring in the United States. She had passed on her incredible disposition and excellent hind leg to both of the fillies that we have from her. Her sire, De Niro, was vice champion of the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with a score of 141.93 points and champion for rideability with a score of 145.41 points. He successfully competed at the Grand Prix-level. He has over 100 licensed stallions and many successful offspring. In 2008, at the age of 15, De Niro was honoured with the highest stallion award the Hannoveraner Verband has to give – the title “Hanoverian Stallion of the Year”. In 2017, for the fifth time, he was awarded Best Dressage Stallion of the World. De Niro passed on to his progeny all qualities required in modern dressage sport.

As a four year old, Licosto, an outstanding looking stallion was a participant of the Bundeschampionate with an overall score of 8.33. He was the top priced horse at the Westphalian elite auction and won the riding horse championships at the International Dressage Festival in Lingen. At his thirty day test, he scored a 8.61 in dressage with high rideability scores. Licosto is an outstanding looking stallion. His sire Licotus, won Prix-St.Georges and Intermediaire I classes several times and characterized by a high degree of nobility, quality of movement, and rideability. Licosto has noble Thoroughbred blood in him from the Celle stallion Licoto xx, his grand sire.

Licosto’s dam, Roxanne, was sired by Rosenkavalier who is considered one of the most significant Westphalian sires. He was the winner of the Stallion Performance Test at Warendorf in 1983. Rosenkavalier offspring are known for their confidence, trainability, and presence in the ring.
